Technical Approvals in Construction

AXA CERT S.R.L. is a body authorized by the Permanent Technical Council for Construction (CTPC) for the development of Technical Approvals in Construction, in accordance with Certificate of Authorization no. 2, for the following specialized groups:

• Specialized group no. 1: Structural elements and foundations

• Specialized group no. 2: Closing elements, partitions, non-structural walls, carpentry and glazing

• Specialized group no. 3: Fire protections, thermotechnics, acoustics, water-repellent protections and coverings

• Specialized group no. 4: Finishes, anti-corrosion and special protections, plasters, veneers, floors

• Specialized group no. 5: Products for construction-related installations: heating, air conditioning, ventilation, sanitary, gas, electrical

• Specialized group no. 7: Roads, road bridges, ports and airports

Through its activity of drafting Technical Approvals in Construction, AXA CERT S.R.L. evaluates products, systems and constructive solutions that are not fully covered by harmonized technical specifications, in the fields for which the body is qualified by CTPC.

In the framework of the development of Technical Approvals in Construction, AXA CERT performs, through its own laboratory authorized by the State Construction Inspectorate (ISC), tests and laboratory checks necessary to evaluate the performance of products, systems and constructive solutions. The tests are carried out in accordance with the profiles and areas authorized by the ISC.

The main categories of authorized tests
• Concrete elements and products – resistance to compression, bending and stretching by splitting;
• Anchors and anchor systems – chemical and mechanical anchors, tensile, shear and pullout tests;
• Adhesives, mortars, screeds and products for the protection and repair of concrete structures;
• External thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) – adhesion, water absorption, mechanical resistance, dimensional stability, impact resistance and freeze-thaw;
• Curtain facades – air permeability, water tightness and resistance to wind loading;
• Windows and doors – air permeability, water tightness and resistance to wind loading;
• Glass for constructions and thermal insulating glass – mechanical and performance tests;
• Thermal insulation materials for constructions;
• Paints, varnishes and anti-corrosion protection systems;
• Plastic materials and PVC profiles;
• Ducts for ventilation and air conditioning installations.
